A summer evening with the sun sinking beneath the horizon. A windy autumn day with screeching seagulls and roaring waves. Sand castles and the laughter of children in July; a stroll along the coast in April. The sea around Odsherred always has new experiences to offer

Gentle yet rugged Wherever you may be in Odsherred - or on the islands of Nekselø and Sejerø - you are never more than a few minutes away from the sea. The area offers practically every kind of Danish coastline: The gentle fjord coastline with its beech woodland and littoral meadows, stretches of open coastline that vary between beautiful white sandy beaches and rugged, high cliffs - or the quiet bay with its beach roses and heather.
Coastal heath and migrating birds
Some areas along the coast have an exceptional natural beauty. The moraine hills, Vejrhøjbuerne, are dotted with burial mounds, and from the hilltops you will get some wonderful views of the Sejerø bay and the reclaimed Lammefjord. Korevlerne at the lower end of the Sejerø bay are protected by a European bird life scheme. They comprise wetlands and lakes, with fine sandy beaches on the outer edges of the sand bars. Korshage, north of Rørvig, is the perfect place to observe migrating birds in the spring and autumn. Other natural wonders include Ordrup Næs, the Klint bakker, the bird sanctuaries at Hov Vig and Skansehage.
