By bicycle or by foot

The landscape of Odsherred is not just scenic - it provides the perfect setting for outdoor activities. The area is ideal for cycling and hiking tours. Try, for instance, the 27 km long Isefjord route or 40 km “under the sea” along the Lammefjord route. If you prefer “mountains”, go for a 30 km long ride in the hills around Veddinge and Vejrhøj. Everywhere, you will find marked bicycle- and hiking routes, for instance the Sejerø bay route and the “aurochs path”.


Odsherred is recognized as a “bike friendly area” and in 2008 a new system of marked hiking routes will be implemented varying in lengths from 4 to 25 km.


With a rod and line

Anglers will enjoy the many fishing grounds along the varied coastline or at the Lammefjord canals, where carp fishing is excellent.

If you’d rather try a fine trout lake, there are no fewer than three to choose from in the north-western part of Zealand - two near Højby and one near Svebølle.


With a ball and club

Golfers may give it a try on the area’s four courses. Odsherred Golf Club and Mensalgård Golf Centre are beautifully tucked into the countryside between Isefjord and Sejerø bay. Dragsholm Golf Club overlooks the drained Lammefjord.


Tips:

- Purchase a specific bicycle map at the tourist office, as well as a
  brochure containing descriptions of bicycle and hiking tours.
- There are guided tours May through October.
- A specific angling brochure with descriptions of the good fishing grounds
  is available at the area’s tourist offices.
